Case conversion and replacement with a review step
Make a narrow change first, then inspect the exact output.
Choose text that can safely change
Sentence copy can often be restyled, but a password, URL path, variable name or product identifier may depend on the original case. Title case is a style choice rather than a universal grammar rule. Names and abbreviations frequently need manual review. Select a short sample that contains the exceptions you care about instead of testing only a simple English sentence.
Check the replacement boundary
Replacing cat with dog can also change catalog if the operation matches a substring. Count the matches and inspect surrounding words before applying the result. If a mode offers regular expressions, characters such as a dot or parentheses can have a special meaning. Use literal replacement for literal text unless you intend a pattern. Keep a copy of structured data rather than editing its syntax by accident.

Inspect the beginning, middle and end of the preview, including punctuation and line breaks. After applying a change, rerun relevant counts and copy the result into a noncritical destination for a final check. TextMinty does not know which proper names or identifiers your organization uses. A successful transformation means the operation ran, not that the editorial meaning is correct. Close or clear the tab when finished if it contains sensitive material.
